Do you ever sing in front of people at church?
Well, how would you like to sing CENTER STAGE in front of a few thousand people, together with Sonicflood, one of the top touring Christian Bands in America?
Real Life Radio, 90.9 The Vine announces a new singing contest called “Center Stage” And we want to put you Center Stage with Sonicflood….one of the headliners at Godstock 2009 on September 12th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Fairfield.
Here’s how it works….you send us a CD or DVD of yourself singing a Contemporary Christian Song of your choice……we’ll narrow down the entries to twelve semi-finalists. All 12 semi-finalists will have the opportunity to sing a solo on stage during Godstock 2009 in-between acts and all twelve semi-finalists will join together to become the Center Stage Choir and perform live with another act at Godstock 2009.
After that set, we will unveil the four finalists who will each meet and audition with Sonicflood and one lucky winner will be selected by the members of Sonicflood to join them Center Stage and sing later that night to headline Godstock 2009. In other words…you’re not opening the show….you are Center Stage in the show.
The Contest is open to all listeners in our 90.9 The Vine Listening area regardless of age, sex, race, church denomination or nationality. Singers who are under contract with a national recording label are not eligible to participate, however if you have previously recorded a CD as an independent artist in a local or regional studio, that is okay and you are encouraged to participate in the Center Stage promotion. Employees and immediate family members of Real Life Radio Foundation are also not eligible to participate in Center Stage.
There is no entry fee. Participants and contestants selected as semi-finalist are responsible for their own transportation and related expenses to attend Godstock 2009 on Saturday, September 12th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Fairfield. Contestants are also responsible for providing their own CD background track to sing on stage if selected as a semi-finalist. In case of inclement weather, Godstock 2009 will be held inside the Fairfield High School Gymnasium. 90.9 The Vine reserves the right to play all or part of your audition entry recording on-the-air and on our website at www.wvyn.org
