Helpful Hints for Godstock Visitors!

You know, we can all have a good time at Godstock by just following common sense and avoiding activities that might be harmful to ourselves or others. Please be aware of what you and your group are doing and how it might affect or influence others. Below are some basic rules for behavior that will definitely be enforced, and other general bits of information we think might make your experience more enjoyable.

  • In front of the stage you can jump up and down, have a good time, but moshing, crowd surfing, or slam dancing will not be allowed.
  • Alcoholic beverages and drugs are strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking by minors is prohibited.
  • Amateur cameras (still and video) are allowed, but please refrain from taping complete songs.
  • No laser pointers, please.
  • Literature distribution is allowed only from approved booths.
  • Please keep all balls and frisbees behind the pine trees in the activity area so that no one gets hit or disturbed by flying objects.
  • Please do not bring glass containers into the festival area.
  • Barbecue grills or open fires are not allowed.
  • Please feel free to contact security or staff personnel for assistance.
  • Please remind your kids to check in with you often if they are going to wander around. And feel free to ask security to look for your kids if you are getting concerned. Don't wait until you are in a panic before you let us help. Remember, you can't enjoy the day of you're worrying about your kids, and we're here to help you enjoy yourselves!
  • If one of the artists on the stage asks for your attention while he speaks, please respect his request and be quiet so others can listen.
  • Please do not venture into the adjoining fields. They are not our property and we need to keep everyone on our grounds.
  • No one is allowed in the backstage area or inside the church.
  • Sunshades and beach umbrellas are allowed in the perimeter of the grounds and behind the pines, subject to complaint. Please be courteous and do not obstruct the view of others.
  • We appreciate you cleaning up your area as you leave. It really saves our volunteers a lot of work!
  • If you have any questions, problems, or complaints, please be sure to contact a security or staff member. We need to know how to improve our festival. We might not be able to implement your suggestion immediately, but we can consider it for future festivals.
  • Of course, you are welcome to make use of the donation bins scattered around the grounds. You are vital to the continuation of the Godstock Music Festival!
